I live where mountains and plains meet. Well, several miles from there, actually, but I can see where they meet. On a clear day. I make my living by making art accessible to others. I like being inspired, I like learning new things, I love traveling, but I hate to shop (except for books). I’m at my best when I’m noticing beauty in everyday things — the more overlooked they are, the more beautiful. If there’s eggplant on the menu, I typically order it. I’m a sparkling water connoisseur (even though bottled sparkling water is falling out of fashion), and a lover of art that makes me think. Sometimes I read a lot, and sometimes I don’t, but I wish my life could be long enough to read every good book ever written.

I’ve been lurking on your site for months – don’t even remember how I first happened upon it. I’m also a single, twenty-something gal living in the Denver area. I just wanted to thank you for saying what you say and for putting it out there for the rest of us to read. I see so many little pieces of me in what you write and it helps to be reminded that I’m not alone in the world. Thank you.

Dude! I happened upon a sliver of downtime while at the office and decided to finally (1-1/2 years later) retrieve my old “bookmarks” from the external hard drive that’s been collecting dust under my desk. And, in the glow of organization, I was struck by the nostalgic bug of links past. My first stop down memory lane was a dozy – Holy “Big Apple News” Batman. In my brief perusing, I have deduced that you are continuing the academic climb (possible venturing off of the DU campus – and, to think you almost didn’t go back after year one….ha!!). Well, I’m totally pumped for you, whichever direction you go. My only request is that you bring your art passion back to the Rockies at some point.
