Miranda July…

…I love her name (can it be real?), and I’m totally loving her debut book, No One Belongs Here More Than You. Instead of doing research for my final paper (probably on either faculty involvement in collection development, or perhaps development of interdisciplinary materials, but it’s hard to say at this point, as I haven’t begun research…), I’m doing research on Miranda July. Okay, not exactly research, but I’ve checked out her website and links. And Miranda July stuff is being hurled at me, too. Okay, not exactly hurled, but showing up in my feed reader. A blog called windowsill brought me a link to this video featuring Miranda July:

Miranda July

I suggest you check it out. And the parent site, The Director’s Bureau, merits some exploring, too, but I have to draw the line somewhere. In 12 days I should be able to do whatever I want without a paper hanging over me.

Last night must be mentioned — Phelyx, the magician, made a now-rare appearance at Dazzle in honor of c.go’s fabulous parents. As always, he wowed us with card tricks and fork tricks and all-around charm.
